Water softeners are for removing calcium, magnesium, small amounts of iron and other unwanted deposits that build up in the form of scale, making your appliances and plumbing pipes and fixtures work less efficiently, allowing soap scum and white calcium to build up on toilets, sinks, tubs, shower walls and doors, etching and spots on dishes, faucets, mirrors, etc. We can test your water for free and install the perfect water softener for you. Give us a call to schedule your non-pressure visit.

Benefits:

  • Soft water can extend the life of water heaters, pipes, coffee makers and other appliances, as well as cleaner spot-free dishes.  Soap and shampoo will lather better and last longer, saving money on soap, including laundry detergent. Hair and skin will feel cleaner and softer.

  • Clothes will be whiter, brighter, softer and cleaner. Soft water will increase the life of clothing, towels and linens by 30%.

Did you know that water softeners can be used on city and well water and would be installed after the carbon filter as softeners work better with dechlorinated water

City Water Dechlorination

City water from most local municipalities is treated with chlorine and other chemicals to disinfect the water from harmful bacteria and pathogens, so it is safe for bathing, cooking, and consumption. To ensure proper disinfection, a small amount of these chemicals needs to be left in the water, so it shows up when tested. This leftover chlorine should be removed from your water if you want the healthiest and best quality water.

We achieve this by filtering your water through an activated carbon filter that dechlorinates your water, cleans itself, and protects you and your family from any harmful effects of bathing in or consuming chlorine.

Well Water

We take care of well water the same way cities and municipalities have been doing it for over 100 years. Only we go one step further and dechlorinate the water leaving you with clean, purified water and no harsh chemicals.

Chlorine is mixed with water and is stored in a holding tank. Every time your well pump comes on, chlorine is pumped out of the solution holding tank into a bigger retention tank where all the water is in contact with the chlorine for a certain amount of time.

Chlorine is necessary to kill bacteria and organic contaminants, oxidize iron and neutralize hydrogen sulfide gas. (Rotten egg smell). All of the contaminants fall out of the water and into the bottom of the retention tank, where they are periodically flushed away with a valve at the bottom of the tank. The water flows out of the retention tank and flows through the activated carbon filter, completing the process by dechlorinating the water and delivering purified bottled quality water to every tap in your house.
